Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic lift trucks provide versatility and height. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the person utilizing it to lift the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular lift trucks aren't able to move the load away from and towards the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In situations requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is utilized for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform meant particularly to hoist employees. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a strap or chain which is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
