JLG Telehandlers Idaho
John L. Grove chose to retire after spending many years working side by side with his brother to build their crane manufacturing company into a world leader. His wife Cora and John celebrated their retirement by going on a cross-country trip in their R.V. After that trip, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the worldwide leading maker of specialized material handling equipment and mobile aerial work platforms.
During the R.V. trip, John spent much of the time talking to prior business associates who the Groves stopped to visit along their journey. While they visited the Hoover Dam, sadly, 2 employees were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. Through following conversations, John saw a big untapped market for a machine that could quickly and safely raise people into the air to be able to perform construction and maintenance work.
John decided to take action when John and his wife returned from the trip. He started a partnership with two dear friends when they bought a small metal fabrication business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, with an initial crew of 20 employees, the trio built and sold the very first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous parts of the basic design elements of that original equipment are still being incorporated into the existing machines
The company has come a really long way since John L. Grove drove back into town from his cross-country journey and have grown significantly ever since they debuted their very first aerial work platform. Even these days, JLG continues to expand into additional worldwide markets. Many innovative machinery are designed to help clients work safer and be more effective.
JLG has remained devoted to being the leader in the business. The company takes operator comfort into consideration really seriously. They strive to deliver in overall comfort and safety, as well as in performance so that the operator could be as productive as possible.
